UV-based verification of clear adhesive coatings
The challenge
Clear adhesive coatings on a high-speed lamination line were invisible to standard cameras. The customer had no way to verify coating presence or uniformity, leading to downstream bonding failures and costly product recalls.
Our solution
We deployed UV LED illumination that causes the adhesive coating to fluoresce, making it clearly visible to the camera system. Combined with line scan imaging and custom software, the system verifies coating presence, uniformity, and edge alignment at full production speed.
