The challenge
A manufacturer of metal stamping dies needed a non-contact method to measure die surfaces for wear and dimensional accuracy. Manual measurement was slow and could not capture the full die surface, leading to undetected wear patterns.
Our solution
We implemented a robotic 3D laser profiling system that scans the entire die surface at high resolution. Custom analysis software compares each scan against the CAD reference model, automatically identifying wear patterns, dimensional deviations, and surface anomalies.
